Almost Strip Searches: 1
LOL Okay, so I exaggerated a little on the almost strip search, but I seriously thought I was going to have a problem. For some unknown reason I was setting off the metal detectors, so there I was emptying pockets, removing my coat etc and still beep beep beep. The search stopped short of me getting naked, if it hadn’t I would have just gone home instead!
So, after that my co-worker and I head to the back of the neat, gently curved line of people waiting in 2s and 3s to get into the venue. A cop comes around and tells everyone to bunch up, no need to line up, squish in, squish in, we are running out of room between security and the venue doors. We bunch and get cosy…then the line starts forming again, like a tail sprouting out from our human bunch body.
We found our seats and our two bosses and rest of our co-workers with their significant others showed. One of our bosses wives gave us all green crochet tuques with light green frogs on them to wear, which we did of course, no questions asked lol. Canada was playing Russia. There were other teams playing too, but being Canadian I think we all a paid more attention to this game, plus it was conveniently taking place on our side of the rink. Every time a Canadian fan in our section yelled go Canada go!, the Russian fans sitting behind us would yell, even louder, Roo-cee-ah! Roo-cee-ah!…I had that echoing in my head for a few hours after the game lol! The Canadian women won that game. I think they got silver in the end.
- If you have more than a few humans together, who want to get somewhere etc, they will inevitably form a nice, neat line.
- Sporting events can be fun, genuine fans are happy happy people when watching their teams play.
- I root for both teams, well it’s not really the team, it’s the puck or rock or goal that I root for 🙂
Watching sports has never been my thing, nor crowds of people, but it was an experience. Not unlike being at the couple of hockey games I’ve been to where I end up watching the people instead of the game, tho I think there are way more drunk people at hockey games than a Olympic events…
Have great days!
